Kevin Tribe, HBA, CM&AA, Founder

Kevin brings 30+ years of experience working in North American software, hardware and professional services organizations. He’s worked with multi-nationals and mid-sized firms, and has been the President and CEO of several software companies. Having successfully completed acquisitions for the larger firms he worked with, he used those skills to buy 3 companies in his own software firm which he then successfully sold to a publicly traded firm in 2003.  His experience selling his own firm spurred him to start Tequity, to help bring a better level of M&A advisory services to firms in the lower middle market.  Since that time, Kevin has invested in his own firm, using his experience to help other entrepreneurs and boards of directors with their personal and corporate strategies.  Kevin has assisted dozens of CEO’s and Shareholder groups to achieve their personal and business objectives, whether to finance, sell, acquire, or merge with strategic partners. Kevin is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business, a designated Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), past Chair of TechConnex, an active member in a variety of tech related associations and a board member of several tech related firms.

Alex MacKay, BA, MBA, Partner

Alex brings 35 years of experience working in enterprise software and services organizations. He’s worked with large global players such as SAP and Siebel at VP & GM levels as well as having CEO’d several high growth small/medium firms raising capital and leading exit strategies. As a revenue growth advisor Alex has aided several firms with positioning for M&A transactions. His experience in leading and building software and service companies provides a solid core background to help organizations set themselves up to achieve their strategic objectives. Having worked with many Founders and Boards, Alex appreciates and understands the complexities that come into play when considering possible M&A scenarios. Alex has a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance and Marketing.

Diane Horton, CBI, CM&AA, PartnerTeam20HighRes

Diane brings 20+ years at both large corporate and entrepreneurial information technology companies, helping to drive strategy and growth in Management, Finance, and Business Systems Consulting and Sales roles.  Diane works with software and information technology company shareholders and executives on strategic M&A engagements that will best meet their unique objectives.  Diane studied at the University of Western Ontario and the Certified General Accountants Association, and is a designated Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) and Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA).

Wilf Rapp, BBA, CBI, Partner, Client EngagementsTeam54HighResSquare

Wilf manages a considerable amount of the project details and logistics related to our client engagements and he brings a wide variety of experience to the team.  As the owner of a software company, he was instrumental in growing it to achieve an eventual successful exit.  He has held senior roles in sales and marketing with various technology organizations and has also held senior positions with several accounting firms. During the evenings, Wilf teaches college accounting courses. Wilf is a graduate of the business program at Wilfred Laurier University and is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI).

Anish Singla, B.Eng., MBA, CBV, Partner, Client EngagementsTeam45HighResCropped

Anish brings both buy- and sell-side M&A expertise and equity financing transaction experience to Tequity. Prior to his business degree, Anish was a senior financial analyst at a manufacturing firm focused on financial analysis, raising capital and managing an investment portfolio. Anish began his career as a business analyst at one of the largest IT consulting companies in India where he worked on Value-Added-Services for Tier 1 Telecom providers across the world.  Anish holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Telecommunication and IT from Panjab University and a Masters of Business Administration (With Distinction, Dean’s Honour List) in Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Anish also holds a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation through the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV).

Mark Bruce, B.Econ., Research AnalystTeam40HighResCropped

Mark manages Tequity’s databases and leads our market research initiatives. Mark’s analytical acumen and market knowledge contribute to Tequity’s position as a leading M&A Advisory firm to the software and high tech industry. Mark has a Bachelors of Economics from Carleton University.

Lori Morasch, Business Development AssociateTeam61HighResCropped


Lori is a Senior Business Development specialist and is often the first point of introduction to Tequity for many owners and executives.  She has held a number of Senior Business Development Roles at a variety of organizations in addition to running her own company in the service industry.  Lori studied Business at Athabasca University.
